Shi Feng Yun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Tallia in the 9th minute of play. Tomás Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir do Valle in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Saverio Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Perla Norte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saverio Tallia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Haritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Antunes in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Servando during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Deportivo Perla Norte got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Servando. Daniel Servando got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 24th minute, Daniel Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Deportivo Perla Norte's Tomás Haritz. Tomás Haritz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomás Haritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvinho Moraes in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Deportivo Perla Norte getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ladislao Corderun hit a great ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Almir do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Perla Norte's Tomás Haritz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir do Valle in the 37th minute of play forced Deportivo Perla Norte's goalkeeper Tomás Haritz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, São Wilson's Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of Deportivo Perla Norte booed when São Wilson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edison Mauriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Andres Frantzes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shi Feng Yun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Jörg Michael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute Saverio Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shi Feng Yun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Saverio Tallia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half São Wilson were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Perla Norte's zone, Silvinho Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Haritz came out of the goal and Silvinho Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Silvinho Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saverio Tallia in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Perla Norte's Tomás Haritz got control of the ball when Silvinho Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Perla Norte getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Delmiro Botello hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Deportivo Perla Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson came free, but Tomás Haritz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Perla Norte's Tomás Haritz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Perla Norte from getting a goal against them. Almir do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Haritz having to interfere. São Wilson's Reynaldo Arce was substituted for João Paulo Antunes. Tomás Haritz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Almir do Valle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play.
