The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leon Llorenc made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Davor Šuker sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raul Gaizko in the 14th minute of play. Sebastian Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute of the match, Bonifacio Petri sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlqvist showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Bonifacio Petri made a great header on Antapoca FC's corner, it was just that Black Rose 1979's Karl-Johan Ahlqvist managed to reach the ball for a save. Black Rose 1979's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
