The tension between the Alcones FC and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alcones FC's Damaso Lico got a free kick in the 75th minute. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 83 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Lico came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Damaso Lico sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Yerko Walls showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 90th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alcones FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
