With his leg Ubaldo Ciceron managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when São Wilson's Duda Dracena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 8 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Llanos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TALLERES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Wilson the free kick. Ermegildo Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Constantino Jakobe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celsinho Meirelles came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by TALLERES's Constantino Jakobe. But to his dismay, Constantino Jakobe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Celsinho Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Llanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, São Wilson's Caio Valladares got a free kick in the 26th minute. Celsinho Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Llanos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Tano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TALLERES's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Wilson the free kick. Jeronimo Tano hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, São Wilson's Maicon de Queirós got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 34 minutes, Zézinho Prado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Wilson and the TALLERES players grew even worse after the yellow card. The São Wilson players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TALLERES were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Llanos to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, TALLERES's Nunez Sustrai got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Nunez Sustrai struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Celsinho Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TALLERES. 0-2 became the score in the 63rd minute when Ermegildo Llanos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to TALLERES getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Nunez Sustrai hit a great ball. The supporters of São Wilson booed when TALLERES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Reynardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, São Wilson's Angelo Ortiz tried to score from far away in the 77th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ubaldo Ciceron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davi Castro's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute Davi Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duda Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ubaldo Ciceron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see São Wilson lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
