Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicu Zberea kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicu Zberea in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Finman saved Real Grasacticos from getting behind. Republica Ploiești's Pompiliu Hâncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Pihlblad in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasile Stoica in the 6th minute of play forced Real Grasacticos's goalkeeper Alex Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Pompiliu Hâncu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Real Grasacticos booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Traianescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Melker Sundström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pompiliu Hâncu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some careless play in the Real Grasacticos defense, Vasile Stoica kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Finman. The Real Grasacticos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Finman should have stopped the shot. Radu Marioteanu took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Finman. Alex Finman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Radu Marioteanu struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alex Finman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Republica Ploiești. If Arne Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Finman came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea. But to his dismay, Nicu Zberea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 33 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's Nicu Zberea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Finman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicu Zberea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicu Zberea scored 0-4 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Finman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Republica Ploiești booed when Real Grasacticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henric Hård didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Republica Ploiești's Radu Marioteanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Finman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Alex Finman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Marioteanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Republica Ploiești were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Mircea Mihoc kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicu Zberea got free with Alex Finman in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. George Ivăncioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Finman having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Republica Ploiești's Vasile Stoica ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Finman. Alex Finman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Ivăncioiu in the 62nd minute of play forced Real Grasacticos's goalkeeper Alex Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Vasile Stoica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Republica Ploiești's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by George Ivăncioiu in the 71st minute. The corner ended in George Ivăncioiu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Grasacticos's Alex Finman did a great save. In the 75th minute, Republica Ploiești's George Ivăncioiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Finman. Alex Finman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. 79 minutes into the match, Real Grasacticos's goal looked a bit too open when George Ivăncioiu came free, but Alex Finman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henric Hård hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Nicu Zbereas short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Alex Finman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alex Finman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Ivăncioiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Codrin Traianescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Stoica kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Republica Ploiești's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
