When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomás Cerqueira sped through Brutal DeLuxe's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olof Helander. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rikard Hultin got free with Raimundo Delgado in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the game, Aaron Westerberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brutal DeLuxe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Brutal DeLuxe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Westerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mattias Gulliksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Delgado was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Oscar Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Raimundo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Delgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Gulliksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Mattias Gulliksson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Raimundo Delgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Brutal DeLuxe's Mattias Gulliksson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raimundo Delgado. Raimundo Delgado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After 39 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Valadão. 39 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's Aaron Westerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Delgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Aaron Westerberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Raimundo Delgado. The goal made the score 2-1. 46 minutes into the match, Brutal DeLuxe's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Cerqueira came free, but Olof Helander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gonçalo Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Cerqueira was the one to do the kick off. Garanhão do SUL were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Brutal DeLuxe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aristides Brochado took the corner. After 54 played minutes Brutal DeLuxe got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Strömberg. After having played for 57 minutes, Oscar Gunnarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brutal DeLuxe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Gunnarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Garanhão do SUL's zone, Mattias Gulliksson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Delgado came out of the goal and Mattias Gulliksson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patrício Poças could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Olof Helander made a huge save. Bruno Silva hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Garanhão do SUL made a substitution. Silvério Sabrosa replaced Patrício Poças. After 72 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Artur Curado. In the 73rd minute of the match Aaron Westerberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimundo Delgado skillfully saved the ball. Raimundo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Gulliksson in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Delgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvério Sabrosa struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Olof Helander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garanhão do SUL. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Brutal DeLuxe players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
