After 10 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Ourente. In the 11th minute, Valentin Rosendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henning Forsberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siro Elazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Leguizamón. Siro Elazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Henning Forsberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Elazar went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Henning Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Elazar in the 32nd minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Valla Fc fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! Henning Forsberg had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Felipe Leguizamón's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Sarmiento de Resistencia's Felipe Leguizamón after 40 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Valla Fc's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-3. Sven-Erik Drake made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Rodolfo Mambru. Henning Forsberg came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Siro Elazar. But to his dismay, Siro Elazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oskar Wallmark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sarmiento de Resistencia booed when Valla Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Ambjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Leif Lund notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Sarmiento de Resistencia's Benigno Manilan. Benigno Manilan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valla Fc's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Siro Elazar 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Elazar got free with Henning Forsberg in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Valla Fc's zone, Basilio Mateus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henning Forsberg came out of the goal and Basilio Mateus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fredric Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Valla Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Ambjörnsson to maneuver through the defense. Henning Forsberg came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarmiento de Resistencia's Siro Elazar. But to his dismay, Siro Elazar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. In the 89th match minute, Sarmiento de Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Valla Fc booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Aureo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sarmiento de Resistencia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
