Raphael de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th minute, Shelby Bonner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Stowe City booed when São Wilson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Stowe City's Bryon Valencia got a free kick in the 10th minute. São Wilson's Donato Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save São Wilson from getting a goal against them. In the 19th match minute, São Wilson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Mota to maneuver through the defense. Donato Salles was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Billy Hardy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Billy Hardy really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Donato Salles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but DeAngelo Guevara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when DeAngelo Guevara got free with Donato Salles in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Billy Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Silvinho Mota fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Wilson's protests and gave Silvinho Mota a yellow card for diving instead. After 29 played minutes São Wilson got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Mota. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Billy Hardy in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lyle Dill took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Salles. Donato Salles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 46th match minute, São Wilson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Cristobal Weathers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Donato Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erivaldo do Valle to make the kick off. If Franklin Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donato Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from DeAngelo Guevara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billy Hardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Donato Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in São Wilson's zone, Billy Hardy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Salles came out of the goal and Billy Hardy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. São Wilson's Donato Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Hadley in the 89th minute of play. Donato Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Ham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, São Wilson's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Hardy came free, but Donato Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristobal Weathers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Stowe City fans cheered their team off the field, for while São Wilson had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
