Basarab Bâlea kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Nildo Cruz put in a rough tackle. Walmir Dias had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Basarab Bâlea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Adrianinho Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horea Hurmuzache. Adrianinho Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, DINAMO's Șerban Damian got a free kick in the 34th minute. Paulo Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horea Hurmuzache read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Leopoldo Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Horea Hurmuzache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Șerban Damian to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Paulo Botelho got a free kick in the 51st minute. Leopoldo Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horea Hurmuzache showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Capixaba in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in DINAMO's zone, Leopoldo Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horea Hurmuzache came out of the goal and Leopoldo Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 71 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Adrianinho Furtado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horea Hurmuzache narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Leopoldo Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Adrianinho Furtado, in the 77th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®. Rafa Coutinho scored 2-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Horea Hurmuzache, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 87 played minutes Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Botelho. Leopoldo Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
