The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Herrington got free with Ernani Oliveira in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrianinho Torres in the 8th minute. Adrianinho Torres made a great header on ≮王者归来≯News at 11's corner, it was just that New England Minas's Winford Taylor managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in New England Minas's zone, Marco Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Winford Taylor came out of the goal and Marco Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Tobias Herrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Brice Wang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New England Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ≮王者归来≯News at 11 the free kick. After 12 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Brice Wang. 13 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Abraão came free, but Winford Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stewart Francis's late challenge caught a ≮王者归来≯News at 11's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stewart Francis helped the player get up and apologised. If Marco Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. New England Minas's Winford Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Dias in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Glauco Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Winford Taylor was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 29 minutes into the game, ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Marco Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Winford Taylor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Dias in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Winford Taylor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Pere Ba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New England Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ≮王者归来≯News at 11 the free kick. 39 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Dias came free, but Winford Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Winford Taylor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Tod Mosley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Oliveira having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tod Mosley made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Marco Dias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ≮王者归来≯News at 11 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 54 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Dias. Marco Dias had several of the New England Minas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Winford Taylor as he didn't even see the shot coming. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Lester Nygaard was substituted for Glauco Abraão. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Marco Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th match minute, ≮王者归来≯News at 11 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lester Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Marco Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Winford Taylor. That made the score 0-5 after 68 minutes of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Marco Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Winford Taylor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lester Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Lester Nygaard in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye New England Minas's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Tobias Herrington blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernani Oliveira having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Lester Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Winford Taylor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 92nd minute, ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Lester Nygaard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. 95 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Lester Nygaard came free, but Winford Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded ≮王者归来≯News at 11 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than New England Minas.
