Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Palestra do Interior from getting a goal against them. Elias Damasceno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute Elias Damasceno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Damasceno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee ignored 卡納里尼奧 FC's protests and gave Cléberson Santana a yellow card for diving instead. Cléberson Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Delfim Quintal got a free kick in the 95th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino da Cunha in the 96th minute of play.
