Kaká Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaká Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of New England Minas booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waylon McQueen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo de Carvalho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dwayne Clement hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Eduardo Machado was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Goblins F.C.! Goblins F.C.:s Arnaldo de Carvalho showed great skill when he stopped Pere Ba:s penalty. After a long run with the ball, Pere Ba did a trick in the 56th minute in front of Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Goblins F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
