DENVER™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perivaldo Moreira came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by DENVER™'s Nilmar Freitas. But to his dismay, Nilmar Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After the first half DENVER™ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Guilherme Arantes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Guilherme Abud came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the DENVER™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guilherme Abud couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, DENVER™'s Nilmar Freitas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Perivaldo Moreira. Perivaldo Moreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Guilherme Arantes during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Guilherme Arantes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. DENVER™'s Márcio Guedes was substituted for Nilton Netto. The supporters of DENVER™ booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor de Senna. Perivaldo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Freitas in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Nilmar Freitas notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira. Perivaldo Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perivaldo Moreira made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Waldir Romero sent off a good shot on target. In the 98th minute Márcio Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
