The supporters of JFSP booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jailson Batista was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Batista in the 51st minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Thibault Mamardashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Gonçalves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thibault Mamardashvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Hermínio Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the JFSP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio Meirelles couldn't finish the play. JFSP's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
