In the 4th match minute, New England Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Hayes to maneuver through the defense. The ≮王者归来≯News at 11 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernani Oliveira should have stopped the shot. Marco Dias might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Winford Taylor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Winford Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Dias in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brice Wang during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Brice Wang. Glauco Abraão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the match, ≮王者归来≯News at 11's goal looked a bit too open when Kaba Sø came free, but Ernani Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes ≮王者归来≯News at 11 got a freekick which was hit by Adrianinho Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Mosley in the 21st minute of play forced ≮王者归来≯News at 11's goalkeeper Ernani Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winford Taylor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Abraão in the 25th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Tod Mosley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Ernani Oliveira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Waylon McQueen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's attentive Paul Weller managed to snatch the ball when Dwayne Clement made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Dias in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Winford Taylor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of New England Minas booed when ≮王者归来≯News at 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Weller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Winford Taylor made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tod Mosley was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes ≮王者归来≯News at 11 got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Toscano. ≮王者归来≯News at 11 made a substitution. Lester Nygaard replaced Glauco Abraão. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Marco Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≮王者归来≯News at 11's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Winford Taylor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gonçalo Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ≮王者归来≯News at 11 made a substitution. Júnior Meirelles replaced Cristian Varela. In the 74th minute, Gonçalo Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Pere Ba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New England Minas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pere Ba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tod Mosley struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ernani Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New England Minas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Toscano in the 80th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mario Hayes fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Minas's protests and gave Mario Hayes a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Schmidt in the 89th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winford Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in ≮王者归来≯News at 11's zone, Kaba Sø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Oliveira came out of the goal and Kaba Sø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The New England Minas players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented ≮王者归来≯News at 11 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
