The supporters of JFSP booed when Mansfield Town FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Rolfsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thibault Mamardashvili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Rolfsson in the 9th minute. JFSP's Thibault Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Jernberg in the 11th minute of play. Bertil Palm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th match minute, Mansfield Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Laerte Fernandes got a free kick in the 16th minute. A hard shot by Leonardo Henriksson from long distance, 16 minutes into the match, got Thibault Mamardashvili's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 17th match minute, Mansfield Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Oskar Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. JFSP's Thibault Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Sundström in the 22nd minute of play. Karl Stjernfelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Neiva in the 29th minute of play forced Mansfield Town FC's goalkeeper Karl Stjernfelt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malte Sundström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thibault Mamardashvili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Sundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vambola Probach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Karl Stjernfelt made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Mansfield Town FC's Knut Rolfsson got a free kick in the 72nd minute.
