Jailson Batista's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Delfim Bastos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cesinha Teles's late challenge caught a DENVER™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesinha Teles helped the player get up and apologised. Cesinha Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Delfim Bastos threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orelio Picka, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, DENVER™'s Delfim Bastos got control of the ball when Jailson Batista tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilmar Freitas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Passos to maneuver through the defense. Gil Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Abud in the 31st minute of play. Cássio Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Bastos having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jailson Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. Delfim Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Couto in the 51st minute of play. Cesinha Teles hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Guilherme Abud managed to get in a good position for a shot. DENVER™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guilherme Abud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of DENVER™ booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 56 minutes, Nilmar Freitas made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gil Coelho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. DENVER™'s Delfim Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Batista in the 60th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Toninho Couto made a precise shot to the right of Delfim Bastos. DENVER™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Jaime de Mendonça replaced Orelio Picka. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Gernando Bueno was substituted for João Adolfo Hermes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Antunes during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Antunes. After having played for 86 minutes, Conrado Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DENVER™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Conrado Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gino Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Gil Coelho made a huge save. Delfim Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The DENVER™ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Barcellos Mineiro FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
