Tod Mosley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Guimarães having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agostinho Guedes. 34 minutes into the match, Agostinho Guedes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of New England Minas's Winford Taylor. Winford Taylor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tod Mosley hit a great ball. Eliseu Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Eliseu Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Winford Taylor. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseu Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tod Mosley made the kick off in the second half. When Sidnei Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the 卡納里尼奧 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Dionísio couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Damasceno in the 54th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Winford Taylor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Hans Morrow. 66 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Alagoano came free, but Winford Taylor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in 卡納里尼奧 FC's zone, Kaba Sø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Vítor Guimarães came out of the goal and Kaba Sø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Winford Taylor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Damasceno in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Winford Taylor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. New England Minas's Winford Taylor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Damasceno in the 81st minute of play. Winford Taylor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Damasceno in the 83rd minute of play. When Toma Nkut fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New England Minas's protests and gave Toma Nkut a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of New England Minas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 卡納里尼奧 FC:s goal. Agostinho Guedes scored 4-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Winford Taylor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, 卡納里尼奧 FC's Amílton Marinho got a free kick in the 95th minute. João Vítor Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Mosley, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. 卡納里尼奧 FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
