The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dida Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Rios's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. 8 minutes into the game, Lino Rios cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dida Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Rios came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martins in the 19th minute of play. Roberto Eztebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rdth minute of the game Lino Rios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dorian Moraes got free with Roberto Eztebe in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Lino Rios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Rios in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Lino Rios had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dida Taffarel. Marquês de Herval's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lino Rios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. A collision led to AFC FUSION getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jonatan Maidana hit a great ball. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Alfredo Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Roberto Eztebe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toby Major got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Dorian Moraes. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Alfredo Martins made the kick off in the second half. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Roberto Eztebe came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins. But to his dismay, Alfredo Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Martins in the 57th minute of play. Toby Major hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dida Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Rios's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Dida Taffarel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Dida Taffarel was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Lino Rios capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lino Rios really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. AFC FUSION made a substitution. Jan Hop replaced Wojciech Fiszer. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Romulo Abilio almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel did a great save. In the 83rd minute AFC FUSION were awarded a corner. Dawid Beckham went to the cornerflag to take it. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dawid Beckham, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Toby Major made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dorian Moraes.
