Slawomir Michalski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Rodriguez in the 21st minute of play. Selami Rezan made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★'s Camilo Erlantz. Pedro Amaro hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Calle Nordal's late challenge caught a Marquês de Herval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calle Nordal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th match minute, ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Nordal to maneuver through the defense. Moussa Kabre struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the Marquês de Herval defense, Bert Justens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dida Taffarel. The Marquês de Herval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dida Taffarel should have stopped the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bert Justens made a kick off. Slawomir Michalski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 54th minute. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Modestio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Modestio in the 56th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Modestio in the 82nd minute of play. Slawomir Michalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Nestor Paraibano could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Slawomir Michalski however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★ getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Calle Nordal hit a great ball. Pascual Modestio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Dida Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
