Alfonso Goicoechea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of William Gaúcho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 7 minutes Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Chwalkiewicz who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Paolo Caradaro got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 7 minutes into the match. Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s William Gaúcho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Casa Real de Savóia F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner. Emil Chwalkiewicz went to the cornerflag to take it. Mugur Chiriac made a great header on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner, it was just that Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s William Gaúcho managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mugur Chiriac sped through Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Gaúcho. 35 minutes into the match, Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goalkeeper William Gaúcho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Goicoechea. In the 40th minute Mugur Chiriac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s William Gaúcho got control of the ball when Alfonso Goicoechea tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Paelemans in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Almir Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alfonso Goicoechea came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Goicoechea couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mugur Chiriac was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jorge Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Goicoechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. William Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Abreu in the 58th minute of play. William Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Glogowski made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Tomas Paelemans sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, Richárd Lovász notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richárd Lovász in the 69th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Meira in the 72nd minute of play. Dênis Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Emil Chwalkiewicz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but William Gaúcho skillfully saved the ball. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Poli Puyol in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Alfonso Goicoechea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Casa Real de Savóia F.C. booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Chwalkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Paelemans. Tomas Paelemans struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Pankracy Glogowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casa Real de Savóia F.C.. Ciro Ferdinand kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski got control of the ball when Richárd Lovász tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciro Ferdinand hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richárd Lovász in the 97th minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
