Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Leonardo Magalhães made the kick off and thus started the match. Kaká Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11th play minutes Leonardo Magalhães shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Kaká Lopes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 18 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes. Kaká Lopes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Agustín Saelices advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 22nd minute. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Kaká Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. Rafinha Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Cristian Sancho scored 1-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaká Lopes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 38th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After some careless play in the Jenipapo SC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaká Lopes. The Jenipapo SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaká Lopes should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Rafinha Gomes got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 52nd match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Silveira to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Lopes came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After 57 minutes, Percy Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kaká Lopes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 60 minute of play. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. After 65 minutes, Rafinha Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jenipapo SC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Kaká Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Cacá Brodel got a free kick in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-9, to the right of Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovani Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kaká Lopes, 1-10. Kaká Lopes made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
