An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Sol in the 24th minute of play forced Atlético Unión Florida's goalkeeper Saul Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Zeledon Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético Unión Florida's Saul Erauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Unión Florida from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marteinn Palermo in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Areco FC's Ismael Barros got a free kick in the 31st minute. Saul Erauso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Abaunza's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victoriano Edwardo in the 37th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Erauso was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Agustin Abaunza capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Agustin Abaunza really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Areco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marteinn Palermo came free, but Gabriel Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Venancio Musko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Pastor Azibar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gabriel Urtats. Areco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pastor Azibar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zeledon Sol was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Venancio Sendoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gabriel Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Azibar in the 56th minute of the match. Marteinn Palermo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Urtats having to interfere. Agustin Abaunza kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Atlético Unión Florida's Narciso Rufo was substituted for Marteinn Palermo. Areco FC's Lucio Galo got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Atlético Unión Florida's Victoriano Edwardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Urtats narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gabriel Urtats made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Venancio Musko sent off a good shot on target. Areco FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pastor Azibar 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. After having played for 85 minutes, Venancio Musko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Unión Florida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Musko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Rufo got free with Gabriel Urtats in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats got control of the ball when Venancio Musko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elder Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Nói Ado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Azibar in the 95th minute of the match. Venancio Sendoa kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Atlético Unión Florida could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Areco FC throughout the match.
