Karl-Axel Nyman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikola Krstović in the 4th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Nikola Krstović in the 4th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Söderbröder were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after AFK Petržalka's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agapito Cabanela took the corner. If Nikola Krstović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Karl-Axel Nyman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikola Krstović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Krstović in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Axel Nyman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 36 minutes AFK Petržalka's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Agapito Cabanela who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jon Brovall got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kolkhis Papadakos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Monte Valdovinos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Sjöö in the 38th minute of play forced Söderbröder's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikola Krstović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl-Axel Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikola Krstović in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Axel Nyman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Matúš Beňo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matúš Beňo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Matúš Beňo. In the 46th minute, Paulão Tasso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kolkhis Papadakos, passed just outside the right post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent Sjöö to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Söderbröder's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Nyman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikola Krstović got free with Karl-Axel Nyman in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Söderbröder's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kent Sjöö was slow to take the kick. During this time AFK Petržalka's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on AFK Petržalka's corner Kent Sjöö fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karl-Axel Nyman quite easily take care of the ball. In the 57th minute, AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 61st minute Kent Sjöö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Axel Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFK Petržalka's Kolkhis Papadakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Clarkfeldt in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Nikola Krstović shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Axel Nyman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AFK Petržalka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kent Sjöö in the 67th minute. Kent Sjöö made a great header on AFK Petržalka's corner, it was just that Söderbröder's Karl-Axel Nyman managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miroslav Čorej hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the game, Edvin Wennerqvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Söderbröder's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. After a rather tough play, Söderbröder's Edvin Wennerqvist got a free kick in the 78th minute. Karl-Axel Nyman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikola Krstović in the 79th minute. AFK Petržalka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kent Sjöö in the 80th minute. Monte Valdovinos kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. The corner led Söderbröder's Agapito Cabanela to fire away a dangerous shot which Kolkhis Papadakos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Miroslav Čorej fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFK Petržalka's protests and gave Miroslav Čorej a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFK Petržalka's Miroslav Čorej got a free kick in the 87th minute. Jon Brovall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nikola Krstović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Karl-Axel Nyman made a huge save. After 94th play minutes Nikola Krstović shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Karl-Axel Nyman and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match was over AFK Petržalka could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Söderbröder throughout the match.
