Ivan Strugure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alphonse Keita in the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mario Fatoux managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Saubrigues's supporters rose to their feet, but Mario Fatoux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Strugure breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Strugure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alphonse Keita, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Vama Veche ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Alphonse Keita came free, but Ivan Strugure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frankie Le Van kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Florent Flinois's late challenge caught a Vama Veche ™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florent Flinois helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Saubrigues's Florent Flinois slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Strugure. That made the score 1-0 after 26 minutes of play. 34 minutes into the match, FC Saubrigues's goal looked a bit too open when Dinu Cotuțiu came free, but Žydrūnas Danielius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Hamza Loaëc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Saubrigues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hamza Loaëc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Strugure came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Saubrigues's Alphonse Keita. But to his dismay, Alphonse Keita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dinu Cotuțiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Žydrūnas Danielius having to interfere. Žydrūnas Danielius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Negrescu in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute Alphonse Keita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Strugure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Iurie Negrescu made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Mario Fatoux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petrică Pășcuțoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Hamza Loaëc notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Vama Veche ™'s Ivan Strugure. Ivan Strugure was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aron Şoimaru made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 68thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Žydrūnas Danielius would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Žydrūnas Danielius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Zdraşcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Virgil Mohora fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vama Veche ™'s protests and gave Virgil Mohora a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Vama Veche ™'s Virgil Mohora got a free kick in the 76th minute. Alphonse Keita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ivan Strugure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Alphonse Keita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Strugure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, FC Saubrigues's Alphonse Keita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Strugure made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 97th minute Florent Flinois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Strugure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vama Veche ™'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
