The referee ignored Apocalípticos & Caóticos's protests and gave Tomás Frasco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Apocalípticos & Caóticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Frasco to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Conrado Faron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caaguazu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Clodoveo Ortle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federigo Cuenca, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Conrado Faron hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Federigo Cuenca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clodoveo Ortle having to make a save. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Clodoveo Ortle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Apocalípticos & Caóticos from getting a goal against them. Clodoveo Ortle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federigo Cuenca, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Apocalípticos & Caóticos's Clodoveo Ortle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Faron in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Caaguazu defense, Victoriano Erauso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giro Rollan. The Caaguazu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giro Rollan should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cayetano Venceslas made a kick off. In the 54th minute Conrado Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Ortle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clodoveo Ortle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlo Albiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Clodoveo Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arlo Albiz took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clodoveo Ortle. Clodoveo Ortle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When Reyes Barcenilla came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Caaguazu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reyes Barcenilla couldn't finish the play. Conrado Faron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
