In the 38th minute of the match Caaguazu got a corner. Acratas Unidos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Errolan Cillero ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mauro Bocaran was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque Servando in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giro Rollan saved Caaguazu from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Acratas Unidos's Teofilo Lorencio got a free kick in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Caaguazu's Mauro Bocaran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernan Iban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 46th minute, Baldomero Vellon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th match minute, Acratas Unidos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Froylan to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paolo Nahia made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Nahia in the 51st minute of play forced Caaguazu's goalkeeper Giro Rollan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 51st minute, one of Caaguazu:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caaguazu. Paolo Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Conrado Faron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernan Iban was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The corner led Caaguazu's Errolan Cillero to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernan Iban despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Giro Rollan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Nahia in the 59th minute of play. If Mauro Bocaran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute Paolo Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giro Rollan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Acratas Unidos's Paolo Nahia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giro Rollan. Giro Rollan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Roque Servando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acratas Unidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Roque Servando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giro Rollan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes, Errolan Cillero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caaguazu and the Acratas Unidos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Paolo Nahia made a precise shot to the right of Giro Rollan. Caaguazu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Caaguazu's Giro Rollan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Caaguazu from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Caaguazu's goalkeeper Giro Rollan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roque Servando. Giro Rollan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Acratas Unidos's Paolo Nahia shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Roque Servando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Giro Rollan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Acratas Unidos's Fernan Iban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlo Albiz in the 94th minute of play. Paolo Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giro Rollan having to interfere. The Acratas Unidos players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
