Emanuel Firea's late challenge caught a RullaBoll's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Firea helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Lăcătuș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Hjeltman in the 5th minute of the match. Republica Ploiești's Costică Codrea got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matildo Fillol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Godeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Godeanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Manuel Lăcătuș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ola Lindberg in the 10th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Lindberg in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lăcătuș saved Republica Ploiești from getting behind. Manuel Lăcătuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliot Jansson in the 16th minute of play. RullaBoll's Karl-Magnus Fastesson was substituted for Binjamin Van Arschot. A collision led to Republica Ploiești getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Costel Lepuș hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Evert Frisck made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș. Republica Ploiești's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Republica Ploiești's Sebastian Hoduț was substituted for Ioan Brânza. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Evert Frisck made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Lăcătuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Hjeltman in the 57th minute of play. After 64 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Costică Codrea. RullaBoll's Jens-Ola Lindberg suffered a concussion in the 66th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 66 minutes of play Republica Ploiești's Costică Codrea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 68th minute, Costică Codrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egon Lövkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Lăcătuș came out and tried to block the shot, but Egon Lövkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, RullaBoll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliot Jansson to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th match minute, Republica Ploiești was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Godeanu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș got control of the ball when Dennis Zlatanović tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Dennis Zlatanović had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș. Republica Ploiești's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dennis Zlatanović was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After 87 minutes of play, RullaBoll's Evert Frisck made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Lăcătuș was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Patrick Nordal made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș. Republica Ploiești's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-8. Manuel Lăcătuș was a little too slow when Evert Frisck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 1-9. RullaBoll's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
