Manuel Lăcătuș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Beldeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Beldeanu came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Cristi Chivu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Lăcătuș skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Beldeanu in the 14th minute of play forced Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Manuel Lăcătuș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Apolo Mingo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC Urzicuța fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apolo Mingo couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Manuel Lăcătuș successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as İrfan Attar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Lăcătuș. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. İrfan Attar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, FC Urzicuța's Apolo Mingo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Lăcătuș made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 35th minute Aurel Beldeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lăcătuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Republica Ploiești's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Beldeanu came free, but Manuel Lăcătuș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Republica Ploiești got a freekick which was hit by Costică Codrea. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İrfan Attar made a kick off. If İrfan Attar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Lăcătuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Beldeanu in the 53rd minute of play. Manuel Lăcătuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Beldeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Aurel Beldeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lăcătuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Bârlă in the 84th minute of play. Manuel Lăcătuș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Beldeanu in the 88th minute of play. 9-0 became the score in the 89th minute when Aurel Beldeanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 10-0 became the score in the 92nd minute when Vlad Chiricheş elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Aurel Beldeanu in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Urzicuța fully deserved thier win.
