Republica Ploiești's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michal Hudák was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Michal Hudák recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Michal Hudák lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Manuel Lăcătuș. Manuel Lăcătuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Hudák, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Žigmund Csontos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș. Manuel Lăcătuș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manuel Lăcătuș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Žigmund Csontos went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 23 minutes into the game, Michal Hudák recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Lăcătuș. Michal Hudák showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-0. Manuel Lăcătuș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Hudák, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Igor Bališ notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Republica Ploiești's Manuel Lăcătuș. Manuel Lăcătuș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Republica Ploiești's goalkeeper Manuel Lăcătuș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michal Hudák received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manuel Lăcătuș came out and tried to block the shot, but Michal Hudák slotted it home off the left post making it 8-0 in the 39th minute. When Michal Hudák came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Hudák couldn't finish the play. Manuel Lăcătuș came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by AFK Petržalka's Žigmund Csontos. But to his dismay, Žigmund Csontos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Žigmund Csontos was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Iulian Zburliş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Žigmund Csontos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Michal Hudák scored 10-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Lăcătuș, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michal Hudák fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lăcătuș having to interfere. Manuel Lăcătuș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Michal Hudák went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. Michal Hudák sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Manuel Lăcătuș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Hudák in the 66th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Michal Hudák cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Manuel Lăcătuș was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of AFK Petržalka booed when Republica Ploiești was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mircea Mihoc didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Michal Hudák managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFK Petržalka's supporters rose to their feet, but Michal Hudák was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Lăcătuș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Žigmund Csontos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lăcătuș was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0. 96 minutes into the game, Mircea Mihoc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Republica Ploiești's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFK Petržalka the free kick. After a rather tough play, Republica Ploiești's Mircea Mihoc got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AFK Petržalka fully deserved thier win.
