When Ronaldo Fenomeno came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Miau Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Fenomeno couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Maule narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miau Stars's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmílson Arantes in the 14th minute. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Fenomeno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apolo Maule was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Apolo Maule made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 18th minute. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Palmer Akers hit a great ball. EL TITAN M.P.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmílson Arantes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Miau Stars's Egídio I to fire away a dangerous shot which Apolo Maule despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Apolo Maule was a little too slow when Egídio I got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Maule narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miau Stars's Flavinho Sousa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Apolo Maule in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Apolo Maule stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Fenomeno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Apolo Maule was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Ronaldo Fenomeno scored 3-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Apolo Maule, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Fenomeno was the one to do the kick off. Apolo Maule stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Fenomeno's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Edmílson Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Apolo Maule tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Ronaldo Fenomeno made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Maule. EL TITAN M.P.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. If Ronaldo Fenomeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miau Stars's Marco Veremundo was substituted for Palmer Akers. Miau Stars made a substitution. Anton Bröms replaced Olavo Mota. Ronaldo Fenomeno might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Maule. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldo Fenomeno ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, EL TITAN M.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Fenomeno came free, but Apolo Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Apolo Maule showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, EL TITAN M.P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Fenomeno came free, but Apolo Maule reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Ronaldo Fenomeno sped through EL TITAN M.P.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Apolo Maule. Jean-Claude Van Damme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldo Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apolo Maule took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ronaldo Fenomeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miau Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Fenomeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Apolo Maule breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
