The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Almir Diamanti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the I Rossoneri and the Söderbröder players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Almir Diamanti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 5 minutes into the match, I Rossoneri's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Albom came free, but Richard Haraldsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Malte Ahlerot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The I Rossoneri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Richard Haraldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Albom, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 played minutes Söderbröder got a freekick which was hit by Sven Trillkott. Söderbröder's Per-Åke Vestlund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Söderbröder from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Åke Mattsson during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, I Rossoneri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. Per-Åke Vestlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Ahlerot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jon Brovall to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jon Brovall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Haraldsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Söderbröder's goal looked a bit too open when Almir Diamanti came free, but Per-Åke Vestlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of I Rossoneri booed when Söderbröder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uno Sundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Albom charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filip Albom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Söderbröder getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Filip Albom hit a great ball. Söderbröder's Per-Åke Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Diamanti in the 65th minute of play. Per-Åke Vestlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sivert Stabbe in the 70th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, I Rossoneri's goalkeeper Richard Haraldsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torbjörn Igelström. Richard Haraldsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Trillkott, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Söderbröder's Per-Åke Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sivert Stabbe in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, I Rossoneri's Michael Odman got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Sven Trillkott was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. The supporters of I Rossoneri booed when Söderbröder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Trillkott didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Leonard Arvidsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per-Åke Vestlund skillfully saved the ball. I Rossoneri's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
