An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Seme in the 4th minute of play forced Bazellatin F.C.'s goalkeeper Manos Voutsas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, Soli Deo Gloria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Seme to maneuver through the defense. Thymios Kastritsis's late challenge caught a Soli Deo Gloria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thymios Kastritsis helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Bazellatin F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Thymios Kastritsis. Manos Voutsas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Seme, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stratos Savouras got free with Maximino Petrigai in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Tomás Kauldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an all-out effort, Bazellatin F.C.'s Maximino Petrigai threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stratos Savouras, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nikos Kourabies hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Tomás Kauldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Soli Deo Gloria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Nikos Kourabies was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. Nikos Kourabies hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Soli Deo Gloria got a freekick which was hit by Lino Sansone. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Kauldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bazellatin F.C.'s Louis Theofilopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 51 minutes into the game, Louis Theofilopoulos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stathis Rasoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
