The supporters of Soli Deo Gloria booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Kavecký didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Ezequiel Bortzaioriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soli Deo Gloria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Bortzaioriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute, Roland Záhoran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Roland Záhoran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Maximino Petrigai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomás Kauldi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hugo Fisher firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, AFK Petržalka's Hugo Fisher got control of the ball when Tomás Kauldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute Roland Záhoran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Petrigai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Roland Záhoran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Soli Deo Gloria's Maximino Petrigai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Záhoran in the 42nd minute of play. Esteve Malvin made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Atilano Abaurre immediately put the ball in play. 45 minutes into the match, Soli Deo Gloria's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Záhoran came free, but Maximino Petrigai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Záhoran scored 1-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Petrigai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Tomás Kauldi made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Štefan Rybnický hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes AFK Petržalka got a freekick which was hit by Mário Sauer. Soli Deo Gloria's Maximino Petrigai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Záhoran in the 58th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Kauldi during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Tomás Kauldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Mário Sauer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximino Petrigai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 64th minute, Roland Záhoran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFK Petržalka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. After having played for 68 minutes, Roland Záhoran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFK Petržalka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Záhoran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Sauer in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Petrigai saved Soli Deo Gloria from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Roland Záhoran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Soli Deo Gloria's Atilano Abaurre got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Roland Záhoran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Petrigai was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Roland Záhoran might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Petrigai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roland Záhoran ran back to his position shaking his head. After 82 minutes, Juraj Poliovka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFK Petržalka and the Soli Deo Gloria players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AFK Petržalka getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Juraj Poliovka hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Juraj Poliovka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Záhoran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th match minute, Soli Deo Gloria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Malvin to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFK Petržalka walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
