Thalis Tzavaras was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Reinaldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aris Chatziaggelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Bueno took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manos Voutsas. Manos Voutsas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Reinaldo Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Theofilopoulos in the 17th minute of the match. Celso Secco charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Secco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Celso Secco hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Stratos Savouras sped through Várzea F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reinaldo Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Venetis in the 22nd minute of play forced Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Reinaldo Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Bazellatin F.C. got a corner. Várzea F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thalis Tzavaras ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Bazellatin F.C.'s corner Argyris Apostolakis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reinaldo Queiroz quite easily take care of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Giorgos Tevekelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bazellatin F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várzea F.C. the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bazellatin F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Manos Voutsas had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Alessandro Mandrak's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 28th minute, Alessandro Mandrak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Voutsas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Stratos Savouras came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filipe Mendonça hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Várzea F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Celso Secco in the 36th minute. The corner ended in Ramiro Rosado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bazellatin F.C.'s Manos Voutsas did a great save. 37 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Alexandros Schizas came free, but Reinaldo Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Bazellatin F.C. booed when Várzea F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes Bazellatin F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Argyris Apostolakis. If Alessandro Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Bazellatin F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Argyris Apostolakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Mandrak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Manos Voutsas firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alessandro Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thalis Tzavaras got free with Reinaldo Queiroz in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Ramiro Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Várzea F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Rosado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bazellatin F.C. made a substitution. Notis Valaoras replaced Argyris Apostolakis. Bazellatin F.C. made a substitution. Stathis Rasoulis replaced Louis Theofilopoulos. In the 60th minute, Stathis Rasoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manos Voutsas having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Bazellatin F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Notis Valaoras to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Stratos Savouras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Secco to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st match minute, Bazellatin F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Tevekelis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Várzea F.C. getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Celso Secco hit a great ball. With a little luck, Várzea F.C.'s Reinaldo Queiroz got control of the ball when Aris Chatziaggelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Várzea F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
