An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Gaúcho in the 8th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Téo Guimarães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Alcântara. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Artur Sergipano got a free kick in the 15th minute. Arí Motta hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Zézinho Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Severino Alcântara made a huge save. Zézinho Neto succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Téo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Severino Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AF CERRADO's Arí Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Sergipano took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amadeu Prado. Amadeu Prado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Amadeu Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Artur Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Sport Club Mavericks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Hílton Cruz made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Artur Sergipano charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Sergipano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute of the match Mateus Novaes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Severino Alcântara skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hílton Cruz in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Alcântara saved AF CERRADO from getting behind. Severino Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Cruz in the 80th minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Mavericks from getting a goal against them. AF CERRADO's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sport Club Mavericks had won, even though AF CERRADO had held more of the ball.
