With his leg Thibault Mamardashvili managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Monumento Sports's Gernando Quintal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. JFSP's Thibault Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Quintal in the 5th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Pedro Paulo Peixoto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JFSP and the Monumento Sports players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Paulo Peixoto hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Sílvio Luís Ceresso was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 10 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, JFSP's goalkeeper Thibault Mamardashvili had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Quintal. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vambola Probach in the 21st minute of play. When Tiaguinho Melo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the JFSP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiaguinho Melo couldn't finish the play. When Aníbal Pirani fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JFSP's protests and gave Aníbal Pirani a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nicolas Matorin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Nicolas Matorin got a free kick in the 34th minute. JFSP's Vambola Probach got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mathias Seco fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monumento Sports's protests and gave Mathias Seco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Mathias Seco got a free kick in the 36th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrinho Neiva to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vambola Probach to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Ismael Velloso got a free kick in the 60th minute. JFSP's Ismael Neiva was substituted for Aníbal Pirani. Ismael Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thibault Mamardashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Quintal in the 62nd minute of the match. Moisés Antunes made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Vambola Probach sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of JFSP booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Moisés Antunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vambola Probach. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Gonçalves in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gernando Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monumento Sports's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thibault Mamardashvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in JFSP's zone, Gernando Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibault Mamardashvili came out of the goal and Gernando Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Melo to maneuver through the defense. Tiaguinho Melo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Mathias Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
