Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilmar Freitas in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Didi Gaúcho came free, but Delfim Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Gino Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezequiel Melo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Delfim Bastos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AF CERRADO. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to DENVER™ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gino Carneiro hit a great ball. Severino Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Abud, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Wanderson Passos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute of the match, Didi Gaúcho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delfim Bastos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Delfim Bastos was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Arí Motta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arí Motta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 40th match minute, DENVER™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrianinho Negri to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Adrianinho Negri got a free kick in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Motta in the 47th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Delfim Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nilmar Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino Alcântara having to make a save. After some careless play in the DENVER™ defense, Arí Motta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Bastos. The DENVER™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Bastos should have stopped the shot. Severino Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Wanderson Passos sent off a good shot on target. DENVER™ made a substitution. Márcio Guedes replaced Nilton Netto. In the 66th minute, Gino Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. DENVER™'s Guilherme Abud got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilmar Freitas in the 76th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Severino Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AF CERRADO's Severino Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save AF CERRADO from getting a goal against them. Conrado Paraibano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Didi Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DENVER™'s Waldir Romero was substituted for Guilherme Abud. Delfim Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Sergipano in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Artur Sergipano came free, but Delfim Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Arí Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AF CERRADO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee ended the match the AF CERRADO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
