After 25 minutes of play, Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Pedro Paulo Salles made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the game, Pedro Paulo Salles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rodolfo Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the A A Arizona defense, Pedro Paulo Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Siqueira. The A A Arizona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Siqueira should have stopped the shot. Rodolfo Siqueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Salles in the 34th minute of play. Ernesto Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The A A Arizona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vágner Pitta to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Gugu Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cido Cordeiro hit a great ball. Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's Adriano Rosa was substituted for Fabiano Mendonça. In the 57th match minute, A A Arizona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Gugu Silva sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind A A Arizona's goalkeeper Rodolfo Siqueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernesto Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Sena in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ's zone, Vágner Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Bezerra came out of the goal and Vágner Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Mauro Rodrigues put in a rough tackle. 82 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Salles came free, but Rodolfo Siqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Salles in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute Simão Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Paulo Salles in the 89th minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Rodolfo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Gugu Silva made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Siqueira. A A Arizona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Gugu Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Siqueira made a huge save. The Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jaraguá do Sul FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
