Jardim América FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Gugu Silva made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Torres. Jardim América FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. The Jardim América FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jardim América FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
