Amadeu Prado made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Grégory Castello sent off a good shot on target. Davi Rossi's late challenge caught a Rathmore Lime Tree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davi Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. Davi Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks were furious when Mateus Novaes was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 29th minute, one of Sport Club Mavericks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sport Club Mavericks. Flavian Garcon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Amadeu Prado came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavian Garcon slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 31st minute. With 34 minutes on the clock, Bakary Guinaudeau commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bakary Guinaudeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute Adil Magaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adil Magaud in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Rossi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hervé Annette in the 63rd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Rathmore Lime Tree's Sofyane Valognes got control of the ball when Davi Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sofyane Valognes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Cean in the 66th minute of play. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Ian Marinho with Davi Rossi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Amadeu Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Karim Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rathmore Lime Tree fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Cosme couldn't finish the play.
