In the 5th minute Vambola Probach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard de Godoi's late challenge caught a OTTO FC - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard de Godoi helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 12 minutes, Pedro Paulo Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Gláuber Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. JFSP's supporters rose to their feet, but Gláuber Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thibault Mamardashvili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Velloso to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Dênis Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vambola Probach received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cafu Linares came out and tried to block the shot, but Vambola Probach slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Vambola Probach took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Cafu Linares to make any attempt to save it. Thibault Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Magalhães in the 31st minute of play. Vambola Probach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Cafu Linares made a huge save. In the 44th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

JFSP's Thibault Mamardashvili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save JFSP from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Cássio Peixoto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Thibault Mamardashvili. That made the score 3-1 in the 59 minute of play. If Fernando Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. JFSP's Ismael Neiva was substituted for Aníbal Pirani. 65 minutes into the game, JFSP's Sílvio Luís Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cafu Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 68th minute, Zé Paulo Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of OTTO FC - FSCMZ booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Ismael Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ismael Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Ceresso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cafu Linares. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luís Ceresso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 85th minute, Geovanni Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When JFSP's Sílvio Luís Ceresso in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tiaguinho Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JFSP's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
