The crowd rose to their feet as AF CERRADO's Arí Motta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moisés Antunes. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Didi Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Moisés Antunes made a huge save. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí Motta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Moisés Antunes made a huge save. Moisés Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Gaúcho in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Motta in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's Gernando Quintal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arí Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nestor Cordeiro got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Didi Gaúcho. Gernando Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Gernando Quintal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Severino Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Monumento Sports's zone, Ezequiel Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moisés Antunes came out of the goal and Ezequiel Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Severino Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 85th minute, Monumento Sports's Pedrinho Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When Pedrinho Neiva fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monumento Sports's protests and gave Pedrinho Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Pedrinho Neiva hit a great ball. Didi Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Moisés Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Melo in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Motta in the 95th minute of play forced Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Moisés Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AF CERRADO lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
