But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vambola Probach couldn't finish the play. After 23 played minutes Jardim América FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Senna. 25 minutes into the game, JFSP's Vambola Probach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perivaldo Torres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 28 played minutes Jardim América FC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Monteiro. JFSP's Vambola Probach got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vambola Probach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes Jardim América FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gláuber Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Gláuber Fonseca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Perivaldo Torres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jardim América FC's Perivaldo Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Jardim América FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vambola Probach got free with Perivaldo Torres in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 46 minutes, Vambola Probach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vambola Probach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cristiano Senna fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jardim América FC's protests and gave Cristiano Senna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Nico Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Ismael Neiva put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Perivaldo Torres. Perivaldo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jardim América FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JFSP.
