An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Monteiro in the 12th minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Senna's late challenge caught a Sport Club Mavericks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristiano Senna helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Jardim América FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Senna. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Mavericks's zone, Kauan Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Prado came out of the goal and Kauan Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Senna to strike the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexsandro Lira to maneuver through the defense. Perivaldo Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Mangueira in the 94th minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
