In the 14th minute Marco Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibault Mamardashvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in JFSP's zone, Marco Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibault Mamardashvili came out of the goal and Marco Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Vambola Probach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of JFSP booed when ≮王者归来≯News at 11 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, ≮王者归来≯News at 11's Claudinei Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thibault Mamardashvili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Vambola Probach got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The wind increased when Júnior Meirelles made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gláuber Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibault Mamardashvili was a little too slow when Marco Dias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-3. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernani Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glauco Abraão couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ≮王者归来≯News at 11 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
