A A Arizona's Rodolfo Siqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Senna in the 35th minute of play. After 38 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro de Castro. In the 39th minute of the match Nico Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Siqueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rodolfo Siqueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Senna went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Cristiano Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rodolfo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Senna was the one to do the kick off. Vágner Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Jardim América FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simão Sena's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 59th match minute, Jardim América FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Senna to maneuver through the defense. When Álvaro de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A A Arizona's protests and gave Álvaro de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, A A Arizona's Álvaro de Castro got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Cristiano Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Simão Sena came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the A A Arizona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Sena couldn't finish the play. Perivaldo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perivaldo Torres came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by A A Arizona's Simão Sena. But to his dismay, Simão Sena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 89 minutes into the game, Paulo Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Rodolfo Siqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristiano Senna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rodolfo Siqueira came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Senna slotted it home off the left post making it 4-4 in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
