An unexpectedly hard shot by Vambola Probach in the 3rd minute of play forced Sport Club Mavericks's goalkeeper Amadeu Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. JFSP's Thibault Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Neto in the 4th minute of play. Amadeu Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vambola Probach in the 10th minute of play. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Pirani in the 12th minute of the match. When Vambola Probach came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the JFSP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vambola Probach couldn't finish the play. Aníbal Pirani hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Amadeu Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vambola Probach in the 29th minute of play. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vambola Probach in the 30th minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after JFSP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Augusto Marquez took the corner. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Club Mavericks were furious when Mateus Novaes was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 43rd match minute, Sport Club Mavericks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus Novaes to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mateus Novaes hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Gláuber Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Davi Rossi made a kick off. When Davi Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Sport Club Mavericks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davi Rossi couldn't finish the play. JFSP's Ismael Neiva was substituted for Aníbal Pirani. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís Ceresso tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Sport Club Mavericks booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Neiva in the 80th minute of the match. Sport Club Mavericks's Amadeu Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sport Club Mavericks from getting a goal against them. Amadeu Prado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Neiva's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Amadeu Prado made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Zé Paulo Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, JFSP's Ismael Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. JFSP's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
