Cacá Ramalho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benê da Costa's late challenge caught a Monumento Sports's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benê da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monumento Sports booed when MUSHIBA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Marquez in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho do Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Marquez in the 24th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Neiva came free, but Chiquinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Diego Ramos hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cacá Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUSHIBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cacá Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Marquez to make the kick off. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Diego Ramos hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Márcio Nunes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Marquez in the 61st minute of play forced Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Moisés Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Gernando Quintal sent off a good shot on target. Gil Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Moisés Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Marquez in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moisés Antunes saved Monumento Sports from getting behind. MUSHIBA FC's attentive Cacá Ramalho managed to snatch the ball when Luiz Gustavo Mazza made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Severino Marquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moisés Antunes. Monumento Sports's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Marquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Severino Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. MUSHIBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Marquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 89th minute, Gernando Quintal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Severino Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Moisés Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, MUSHIBA FC's Didi Meira got a free kick in the 96th minute. After 97 played minutes, Monumento Sports's Mathias Seco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chiquinho do Nascimento came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monumento Sports reached it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. MUSHIBA FC had played much better football throughout.
