The audience thought a goal was coming when Arí Motta got free with Perivaldo Torres in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Severino Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Senna in the 15th minute of play. Artur Sergipano's late challenge caught a Jardim América FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 17th minute, Cristiano Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jardim América FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jardim América FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Didi Gaúcho scored to the left of an out of position Perivaldo Torres, making the score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Nestor Cordeiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Nestor Cordeiro fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AF CERRADO's protests and gave Nestor Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Nestor Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Kauan Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Alcântara having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Arí Motta made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí Motta in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jardim América FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 73 minutes of play, Jardim América FC's Cristiano Senna made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severino Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 79 minutes, Didi Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AF CERRADO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jardim América FC's Cristiano Senna slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Severino Alcântara. That made the score 4-3 after 83 minutes of play. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when Jardim América FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arí Motta scored 5-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Torres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
